Internal Auditor

The Senior Internal Auditor role is a key position within Alan’s Corporate team, responsible for ensuring the integrity of our operations and supporting the organization’s growth across multiple countries.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end audits autonomously across Finance, Insurance Operations, Compliance, IT, and Security — from scoping through to Audit Committee reporting.
• Own and drive closure of a meaningful share of the open recommendation backlog (15 to 20 items).
• Represent the Internal Audit function at Audit Committee level when required.
• Co-build the next generation of audit tooling and automation within the function and the broader Corporate community.
• Act as a genuine business partner and challenger , working closely with Finance, Risk, Actuarial, Compliance, and Operations.

By the end of your first year, you will have independently led at least three full audits, contributed to at least two automation or tooling initiatives, and built the trust to represent the function at governance level without oversight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on internal audit experience , spanning operational, compliance, and financial audits.
• Deep expertise in risk management across Actuarial, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, and Security domains.
• Fluent in French and English — able to operate confidently in both languages across geographies and in front of senior governance bodies.
• Strong command of the insurance and financial services industry — understand how the business works, not just how it is regulated.
• Sharp legal and regulatory instincts — interpret complex frameworks and translate them into actionable audit findings.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills — comfortable analyzing policies, claims, and financial data; autonomous in SQL and actively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work.
• A builder at heart — excited to shape something differentiated, not looking for a conventional audit career path.
• Written‑first — structured, precise, and fully at ease with Alan’s asynchronous communication culture.

Preferred

• Comfort auditing automated and data‑driven processes (data quality, system controls, operational workflows).
• Exposure to IT, cybersecurity, or infrastructure audits.
• Experience managing recommendation tracking at scale, including with engineering or product teams.

Location & Remote Work

You must be legally eligible to work from France. We offer flexible remote work, but in‑person collaboration is valued.
