Internal Audit Apprentice
Program Details
Program starts September 2026 and will run 1–2 years.
About the Role
This apprenticeship takes place in Paris as part of LCH SA’s Internal Audit team, where you will support the Internal Audit plan by auditing how key risks are managed across the organisation. You will use professional judgement, data analysis and technology‑enabled techniques to perform audit testing, analyse processes and controls, and produce high‑quality audit documentation. You will gain exposure to innovative audit practices, including data analytics and AI‑enabled tools such as Large Language Models, while working closely with auditors from global locations such as the UK, India, Costa Rica and Romania.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of audit engagements, contributing to planning activities, scoping, risk assessments, and the identification of key risks and controls, while taking responsibility for agreed sections of audit work under the guidance of senior auditors.
- Perform audit testing and analysis across a range of business processes, documenting work clearly and accurately in line with internal methodology and quality standards, and contributing to larger or more complex audit projects as part of a team.
- Engage with stakeholders and audit colleagues to communicate findings, validate factual accuracy, and support the development of audit conclusions and issues, ensuring observations are well‑evidenced and professionally presented.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- On track to enter a master’s degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field in 2026.
- Willing to work towards an IIA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent professional qualification during the apprenticeship.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Demonstrable interest in financial markets, developed through studies, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
- Curiosity about data and a passion for problem‑solving, including digging into information and generating new ideas or solutions.
- Ability to see the bigger picture and make connections between different elements.
- Ability to focus, adapt to changing circumstances, and respond constructively to setbacks.
- Friendly team player who enjoys collaborating with others and communicating effectively.
