Internal Applications Manager (Odoo/IT)

Context
Software Heritage is a universal archive of software source code, aiming to collect, preserve for the very long term, and share all publicly available source code, along with its development history (e.g., as stored in version control systems). The Software Heritage archive already contains over 27 billion unique source files and 5 billion commits, retrieved from more than 300 million software development projects. Hosted by the Inria Foundation, the Software Heritage initiative is a completely free and open-source (FOSS) and non-profit project.
Assignment
We are looking for an experienced Internal Applications Manager (Odoo/IT). Their responsibilities will include managing our internal Odoo ERP system and structuring, deploying, and maintaining the internal tools used by our teams (email, note-taking, document sharing, etc.).
The candidate will lead the development and configuration of modules for our internal Odoo ERP system, as well as its day‑to‑day maintenance. They will also be involved in creating our internal IT infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for managing our internal IT, from selecting services to implementing and monitoring them.
Main activities
- Management and development of our Odoo instance (e.g., structuring and maintaining CRM pipelines, setting up simple automations, etc.)
- Deployment and customization of Odoo modules
- Ensuring data quality and consistency in Odoo
- Defining needs and selecting our internal tools (e.g., email, groupware, note‑taking, internal documentation, document sharing, etc.)
- Organization, deployment, and maintenance of these internal tools
- User support and guidance on these tools
- Maintenance of employees' personal devices
Skills
The following skills are expected:
- Proficiency in Odoo and development within it
- Experience managing internal tools
- Good level of English (written and spoken) and strong communication skills
- Autonomy, project management skills, strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Linux
Knowledge and experience with the following will be considered an asset:
- Knowledge of the open-source software ecosystem
- Data centre operations

Defence Security
This position is likely to be situated in a restricted area (ZRR), as defined in Decree No. relating to the protection of national scientific and technical potential (PPST). Authorisation to enter an area is granted by the director of the unit, following a favourable Ministerial decision, as defined in the decree of 3 July 2012 relating to the PPST. An unfavourable Ministerial decision in respect of a position situated in a ZRR would result in the cancellation of the appointment.
