If you are interested in the infrastructure sector, project and acquisition finance and wish to join a leading Infrastructure Private Debt investor, we are looking for a six‑month intern for the Infrastructure Private Debt team in our Paris office. The internship will start in July 2026.
With over €28 billion invested in more than 170 transactions, Allianz Global Investors is the largest Infrastructure Private Debt investor in Europe. The team’s portfolio covers direct investments in infrastructure projects and corporates in Europe, North America and Latin America, across sectors such as social infrastructure, transportation, renewables, utilities, telecom networks and digital infrastructure, and financing types including acquisition financing, greenfield and brownfield project financing and refinancing.
The investment team consists of more than 25 experienced professionals based in London, New York, Paris and Munich. The successful candidate will work closely with the Paris team of a Managing Director, two VPs and an Assistant VP and will collaborate with teams abroad.
What you will do
- Participate in the origination, structuring and execution of new transactions
- Perform due diligence and credit analysis
- Analyse and navigate through complex project finance financial models
- Perform internal rating analysis
- Assist in the preparation of investment memorandum for submission to the Investment Committee
- Assist in the closing processes, including KYC checks and discussions with internal stakeholders
- Assist in the monitoring of closed transactions
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external marketing materials
What you bring
- Penultimate/final year in a top‑tier university or business or engineering school, pursuing a degree in Finance, Projects Management, Information Management or a related field
- First experience in investment banking, project finance, DCM or infrastructure financing/investment is a plus
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance fundamentals, including cash‑flow analysis
- Experience in financial modelling
- Excellent written and verbal command of English and French; fluency in another European language is a plus
- Strong analytical approach
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Intellectual curiosity and determination to learn
- Unquestionable commitment to integrity and ethical decision making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of a programming language (VBA, SQL or similar) is an advantage
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
