What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intern in genetic engineering to join our innovative team. This intern will play a key role in the development and characterisation of cell lines, gaining hands‑on experience in a state‑of‑the‑art startup laboratory while contributing to our mission of improving infant and specialised nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting cell culture experiments: you will learn and help senior cell scientists on various cell culture experiments.
- Using cell and molecular biology techniques: you will apply techniques such as RT‑qPCR, immunohistochemistry, Western blot and flow cytometry.
- Documentation and reporting: you will document experimental procedures and observations to ensure data integrity and traceability, and prepare comprehensive reports that convey experimental findings, progress, and potential areas for improvement.
- Support in admin and operational tasks: you may assist in lab management, lab duties and help other team members and our lab manager with day‑to‑day operations.
Requirements
- Pursuing an Engineering Degree in biological sciences, bioprocessing, chemical engineering, biotechnology, or a related field.
- Ideally have previous experience in cell culture showcasing ability to learn and adapt protocols effectively.
- Currently enrolled in a school/university where the internship is part of the curriculum (has access to "Convention de Stage").
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory techniques such as transfection, RT‑qPCR, flow cytometry and/or Western blot is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret experimental data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being proactive and self‑motivated.
