What We Are Looking For

Intern in Downstream Processes – contribute to purification and analysis of key functional ingredients in a cutting‑edge start‑up lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise purification and separation processes (chromatography, membrane filtration, precipitation, etc.).
• Perform clarification, concentration, and formulation steps.
• Contribute to product characterisation using biochemical assays (SDS‑PAGE, ELISA, enzymatic assays).
• Support scale‑up activities from lab to pilot scale.
• Document experimental work and contribute to R&D reports.
• Assist with lab management, day‑to‑day operations, and support the lab manager.

Requirements

• Pursuing an Engineering Degree in biological sciences, bioprocessing, chemical engineering, or a related field, or a specialised master degree in chromatography or other DSP technique.
• Prior experience in downstream processing or bioprocess development is a plus.
• Currently enrolled in a School/University where the internship is part of the curriculum (access to “Convention de Stage”).
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory techniques such as chromatography, filtration, and other separation methods.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret experimental data.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• Ability to work collaboratively and proactively.
• Genuine interest and passion for Nūmi's mission to revolutionise infant nutrition.
