Interim Commercial & Copyright Lawyer (12-Month Contract) – Paris or Lonon based

A leading global technology company is looking to hire an interim lawyer to join its Paris-based legal team on a 12-month contract. The role will support publisher partnerships and emerging AI-related initiatives across EMEA, managing a broad range of commercial and copyright matters. The client is also open to London based French qualified lawyers.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial and copyright agreements.
• Manage legal workstreams relating to publisher and content partnerships.
• Support the launch of new commercial and AI-focused programmes.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to business stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks while supporting business objectives.
• Work closely with legal and commercial teams in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified lawyer, ideally under French law.
• Professional working proficiency in French required.
• Strong commercial contracts experience with exposure to copyright, media, content or technology matters.
• Able to independently manage matters from instruction through to completion.
• Practical, hands-on approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Available to work in Paris on a hybrid basis (3 days per week onsite).
