Finatal is partnering with a leading private equity-backed wealth management business to appoint an Interim Chief Information Officer for a high-impact transformation mandate based in Paris.
This is an opportunity to join one of the most significant players in its market, at a pivotal stage in its evolution. Having grown successfully through acquisition, the company is now focused on operational consolidation, technology-enabled value creation, and delivering a transformational roadmap across the organisation.
The Opportunity
As the current technology leader moves into a dedicated innovation and AI-focused role, the business is seeking an experienced interim CIO to take operational ownership of the IT function and ensure successful delivery of a well-defined transformation agenda.
The foundations are already in place:
- An established and capable technology team
- A multi-year transformation roadmap developed alongside a leading advisory firm
- A significant cost optimisation and efficiency programme already defined
- AI initiatives already demonstrating measurable productivity improvements
- Strong executive sponsorship and board visibility
This is not a strategy design role. The roadmap exists. The mandate is to lead, execute, and deliver.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership of the IT function and technology organisation
- Drive execution of a multi-workstream transformation roadmap
- Deliver technology efficiency and cost optimisation initiatives
- Lead, develop and motivate established technology teams
- Strengthen business partnering between technology and commercial functions
- Scale AI initiatives from pilot stage to embedded operational capabilities
- Support the broader private equity value creation agenda through technology enablement
- Provide regular visibility and assurance to executive leadership and the board
Candidate Profile
- Significant CIO, IT Director, Technology Transformation or comparable leadership experience
- Wealth management or broader financial services experience is essential
- Track record delivering technology transformation within private equity-backed businesses
- Practical experience applying AI within operational environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven people leadership capability
- Fluent French speaker, based in or able to work from Paris
