The Opportunity

We are working with a highly innovative international management consulting firm making significant investment in its Insurance Risk & Compliance capabilities in France.

The firm has a global footprint and a genuinely collaborative culture, with a no-elbows mentality , limited internal politics and a leadership team that actively encourages people to build new propositions, develop clients and work across practices and geographies.

They are also investing heavily in Data & AI , creating an opportunity for the successful individual to develop new AI-enabled assets and solutions alongside colleagues across France, Europe and globally .

They are now looking for an experienced Insurance Risk Director who can combine strong technical credibility with the commercial capability to help build the practice.

The Role

You will work with senior executives across major French insurers, advising on areas including:

• Insurance Risk & Regulatory Transformation
• Solvency II Governance
• Risk Governance & Internal Control
• Compliance & Regulatory Advisory
• Operational Risk
• Internal Audit & Three Lines of Defense
• Target Operating Models & Transformation Programmes

The emphasis is on governance, risk, compliance and control rather than actuarial topics such as pricing, reserving or ALM.

This is not a pure delivery position.

We are looking for someone with a strong commercial track record who can originate opportunities, develop senior client relationships, win consulting engagements and help build a team and proposition around them .

Existing relationships with major French insurers and CAC 40 organisations would be particularly attractive.

Who We Are Looking For

You should currently be working, or have worked very recently, within a leading management consulting firm , ideally at Director or senior Senior Manager level.

You will need strong Insurance Risk & Compliance expertise, demonstrable commercial success and the credibility to develop relationships with senior insurance executives.

Fluent French is essential , as the client base is predominantly French. Excellent English is highly desirable given the international nature of the firm.
