Installation Engineer - Offshore project
Contract duration: Initial 225 working days / approximately 12 months
Potential extension: Up to 3 years
Start date: 31 August 2026
Working hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
The Role
We are recruiting an experienced Installation Engineer to support a major international offshore oil and gas project from the project office in Paris La Défense.
The successful engineer will review offshore installation documentation, methodologies, procedures and schedules produced by contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, engineering best practice and offshore HSE requirements.
This is an office-based position in Paris , rather than an offshore rotational assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and comment on offshore installation documentation issued during the engineering phase.
- Review installation method statements, procedures and schedules.
- Ensure contractor documentation complies with project requirements, international standards and established engineering practices.
- Identify technical and operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support the preparation and coordination of offshore installation methodologies.
- Review, consolidate and optimise installation schedules.
- Assess proposed installation methods, offshore construction technologies and vessel requirements.
- Participate in engineering, technical and interface meetings with contractors, vendors and other project parties.
- Coordinate with discipline engineers, the Offshore Installation Manager, HSE and QA/QC teams.
- Ensure offshore installation activities align with company HSE requirements and project objectives.
Required Experience
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience within the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience working on deep-water offshore installation projects.
- Experience across the engineering, construction, installation or operation of offshore facilities.
- Strong knowledge of offshore installation engineering and construction technologies.
- Experience reviewing contractor installation procedures, methodologies and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of installation schedules, offshore methods and installation vessels.
- Familiarity with international offshore standards, codes and project specifications.
- Understanding of offshore construction HSE requirements.
- International project experience.
Required Certification
- Valid BOSIET or recognised equivalent offshore survival certification.

Contract Information
The initial contract is expected to run for 225 working days , equivalent to approximately one year. Subject to project requirements and performance, the assignment may be extended for up to three years .
The standard working schedule is eight hours per day, Monday to Friday , based in the Paris La Défense office.
