We are seeking an energetic customer-focused Inside Sales Representative in our Salt Lake City branch to generate and qualify opportunities through outbound prospecting, lead follow-up, and customer outreach. This role supports our sales and service teams by managing customer communication, scheduling appointments, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Contact forklift and material handling leads, identify customer needs, and schedule appointments for the sales team
- Uncover new business opportunities within strategic marketing lists through outbound calls and follow up with existing customers
- Maintain product, service, and promotion knowledge to effectively support customer needs
- Identify upsell opportunities for products and services
- Track customer satisfaction and address concerns by coordinating with internal teams
- Maintain accurate customer records and activity updates in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, Parts, and Marketing teams to support business growth
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of customer service or inside sales experience preferred
- Experience with data entry and Microsoft Office products
- Strong phone communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to build relationships, handle multiple priorities, and drive results
- Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset
- Strong sales and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Persistence and confidence in identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend solutions
This position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time, talking on telephone extensively, exerting up to 15 pounds of pressure, walking, standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and leaning. Face to face contact with customers, as well as over the phone and email contact. PPE is to be used at all times as necessary.
