DCIO Specialist
Nuveen, as the asset manager of TIAA, is seeking highly self‑motivated, resilient & goal‑oriented NRI Internal Sales Associates to advance our growth strategy and serve retirement plan advisors, consultants, and 401(k) recordkeeping wholesalers.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Partner with the NRI external sales team to drive NRI asset growth within a defined sales territory.
- Proactively engage with retirement plan advisors, consultants, and 401(k) recordkeeping wholesalers to identify, prospect, nurture, and grow opportunities for Nuveen retirement products.
- Maintain accurate, high‑quality data in Salesforce and other CRM tools.
- Coordinate client meetings, including calendar management, logistics, materials, RFI/RFP preparation, and support due diligence activities.
- Assist in developing, refining, and executing sales territory plans.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor positioning, market flows, and relevant developments to identify new opportunities and adapt sales execution.
- Consistently deploy sales toolkits, advisor reports, analytics, and value‑add programs to maximize value for prospects and clients.
- Collaborate with internal sales associates, the Internal Sales Desk Manager, and broader NRI teams to share best practices and coach high performance across all sales territories.
Required Qualifications
- University degree (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in internal sales or supporting external wholesalers; 3+ years preferred. Experience with target‑date funds and DC retirement products is essential.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required.
- State or non‑resident Life & Health insurance license (beneficial).
- Strong knowledge of markets, products, and portfolio construction, with confidence in discussing performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Accountable, resilient, goal‑oriented with a track record of independent execution balanced with a team‑first mindset.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Physical requirement: primarily sedentary work.
- Career level: 6IC.
Base Pay Range: $64,000 per year – $89,600 per year. Compensation may also include incentive programs tied to performance.
