Innovative Detectors for Higgs Physics

The tenure track position (Chaire de Professeur Junior at CNRS) involves physics analyses to measure the couplings of the Higgs boson and to search physics with CERN's LHC collider. Using data from the ATLAS experiment collected during Run 3 and the High-Luminosity (HL-LHC) phase, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make leading contributions to particle physics, building on the expertise of the local ATLAS team. The candidates should define their project with that team in one of the labs (CPPM or LPNHE).

Thanks to demonstrated experience and a strong interest in instrumentation, he or she will contribute to the finalization of the ATLAS detector upgrades for the HL-LHC phase, their installation, and their commissioning. Drawing on the technological expertise of the laboratory and the institute, as well as emerging developments worldwide, he/she will simultaneously conduct significant R&D on innovative detectors for the future, particularly in connection with the possible future FCC-ee collider at CERN.

The successful candidate will be involved in existing teaching programs related to the research theme at the host laboratory's university campus. The teaching plan will be discussed with the institution's academic staff and further defined to ensure it aligns with the selected candidate's profile.

This position provides access to a permanent position as a senior Research Director at CNRS.
