Job Title

Ingénieur Système Telecom Satellite – futur Team Leader (H/F)

Responsibilities
  • Definition and maintenance of detailed specifications, architecture and interface documents for the satellite telecom subsystem (S, X, K bands).
  • Cost estimation and sizing of the telecom subsystem for all mission phases, including contingency plans and appropriate margins.
  • Modeling, simulation and extreme-case analysis (vibrations, shocks, vacuum, radiation, high/low temperatures, rendez‑vous) to verify subsystem resilience during launch and in‑orbit operations.
  • Selection and qualification of space‑qualified components, considering assembly, thermal and other constraints.
  • Participation in manufacturing, assembly, integration and AIT testing activities as subsystem lead.
  • Planning and execution of subsystem and environment tests (functional, thermal vacuum, vibration) as subsystem lead.
  • Preparation and presentation to concept review meetings (PDR, CDR, TRR), ensuring subsystem maturity.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize system performance and conduct trade‑off studies.
  • Participation in integration and launch operations as subsystem lead.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in space systems, with at least 5 years of experience in satellite telecom systems engineering, including at least one successful smallsat launch.
  • Excellent mastery of space telecom architectures and related environments.
  • Proficiency in telecom budget management, system modeling and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of component/mechanism qualification and thermal/radiation considerations.
  • Practical experience with integration and testing in clean rooms.
  • Strong technical problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good relational skills to interact with suppliers, technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Leadership, scientific rigor and attention to detail are valuable assets.

Additional Competences

  • Understanding of satellite trade‑off analyses and parameter optimisation strategies.
  • Knowledge of space agency standards and certifications.
  • Knowledge of the CNES IDM engineering tool.

Employment Conditions

Contrat à durée indéterminée (CIC) basé à Toulouse, 2 jours de télétravail par semaine.

Salaire fixe + variable, mobilités ponctuelles pour conférences, salons et réunions avec partenaires/client en distanciel ou présentiel.
