As part of the team, you will serve as a safety studies engineer (H/F).

Vos missions

The safety studies engineer is integrated into a project-based team, either within KURY Ingénierie or as a consultant for clients.

The activities of this direction cover several areas:

• Studies related to safety demonstration supporting the preparation of the Safety Report. This area includes the drafting of Safety Reports and aggression studies.
• Support studies for operations, especially normal or accident operation, General Operating Rules, studies linked to the Simulator, etc.
• Physical modeling.

Depending on project progress, the scope of activity for the safety studies engineer/ aggression covers:

• Creation of reference frameworks & methodologies.
• Definition of internal or external aggression requirements: fire, flooding, seismic, explosion, load drops, etc.
• Support in the design of elementary systems, especially on incorporating and respecting requirements.
• Functional analyses.
• Verification studies of design conformity to requirements.
• Development of tools for safety demonstration studies.

Specifically in the domain of aggressions, the engineer may intervene on:

• Modelling of complex phenomena, especially fire modeling.
• Creation of aggression provisions for General Operating Rules (RGE).
• Production of studies ensuring that the installation complies with safety requirements and project insurance regarding aggression risk, especially flooding or fire.
• Definition of modifications interfaced with multiple disciplines to meet safety requirements.
• Client interfacing and participation in meetings with the safety authority when necessary.

Profil recherché

Academic level: BAC +5 (Engineer or Master 2) or 15 years of experience in the nuclear field.

Compétences Nécessaires

• Curiosity in science, especially physics and rigor.
• Good responsiveness and adaptability.
• English proficiency (TOEIC > 720 or equivalent).
• Positive communication at all times.
• Very strong written communication skills.
