About Vulcain Engineering

Vulcain Engineering is a leading engineering consultancy supporting energy transition and complex offshore projects. We collaborate with key players in the Oil & Gas and Offshore Renewables industries to deliver structural design, engineering, and project execution support.

We are currently seeking several experienced Offshore Structural Engineers to work on projects involving modular topside structures , FPSO units , and fixed offshore platforms .

Your Responsibilities

You will be integrated into major engineering teams and contribute to various scopes such as:

• Structural design and calculations of offshore modular topsides (FPSO, fixed platforms, jackets, etc.)
• Support engineering and drafting teams to ensure consistent and compliant structural design
• Interface with international engineering centers (TEN centers) for design coordination and document review
• Review of structural drawings, calculation notes, and technical deliverables
• Provide technical support during fabrication phases and ensure compliance with project execution procedures
• Occasionally travel abroad to support coordination between engineering centers

Provide technical reporting to the Project Lead and Engineering Manager

Your Profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in structural engineering for offshore EPC projects , ideally topside modules or heavy offshore steel structures
• Proficient in SACS and Staad.Pro or ANSYS (Abaqus is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of structural design codes: DNV , API , ISO , etc.
• Capable of performing hand calculations , model-based simulations, and detailed design analysis
• Familiar with fabrication & construction constraints
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus

Organized, autonomous, and used to working within multi-disciplinary international teams

• Location: Paris area
• Tools & software provided by client

Hybrid collaboration with foreign engineering centers (occasional travel possible)
