About the Role

GravitHy is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineering Lead (F/M). Reporting to Senior Engineering Project Manager the Civil & Structural Engineering. The role acts as technical authority for civil, structural and geotechnical works, ensuring coordination, validation of engineering deliverables, compliance with standards, and alignment across all project phases. It also supports permitting, procurement, construction, and contributes to constructability, risk mitigation, and project optimisation.

Location

Paris, with occasional travel to Fos-sur-Mer and engineering company offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and validate civil, structural and geotechnical engineering activities across all project phases, ensuring alignment with project objectives, standards, safety and sustainability requirements. This includes reviewing and challenging deliverables from third parties, supporting design optimisation, constructability assessments, technical risk analysis and multidisciplinary coordination. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
• Provide technical support to site and construction teams for civil and structural works, including resolution of technical issues, review of construction methodologies and ensuring alignment with approved designs and project requirements. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
• Support procurement and project execution activities through technical bid evaluations, contractor alignment and contribution to schedule, cost optimisation and execution strategy discussions. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Profile

Experience

• At least 10 years in EPC/industrial projects
• At least 10 years of experience in civil, concrete and steel design, structural analysis and foundation engineering (e.g. TEKLA, ANSYS), with exposure to FEL, basic/detailed engineering and construction phases, and French industrial construction.

Required skills & knowledge

• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles applicable to large industrial projects.
• Fluent in written and spoken English/ French.
• Proficiency with common civil and structural engineering software and engineering documentation tools.
• Ability to be proactive
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, providing information and responding positively to feedback.
