Role Description
Ingénieur Maintenance Atelier is responsible for maintenance, repair, calibration and qualification of scientific and laboratory equipment in the workshop. This is a sedentary, autonomous role requiring rigor and efficient daily activity organization to ensure high service quality for clients.
Responsibilities
- Technical workshop activities: preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Diagnose failures, perform repairs and conformity tests.
- Execute calibration, qualification and validation operations following current procedures.
- Prepare, update and document technical dossiers for each intervention.
- Issue and sign service reports, maintenance, calibration and qualification certificates per habilitation level.
- Provide technical support to field teams when necessary.
- Equipment and logistics management: receive, verify and register equipment, manage administrative and technical follow‑up, organise shipments to contractors or field teams.
- Track shared measurement equipment: schedule calibrations, request quotes, follow shipping, and return equipment to users.
- Plan and direct daily workshop activity according to client deadlines, optimise flows, manage tickets, and ensure on‑time resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement: refine procedures, share best practices, identify service quality opportunities and performance enhancements.
- Maintain and develop team technical skills and track inventory accuracy.
Qualifications & Profile
- Technical degree Bac+2 to Bac+5 in maintenance, instrumentation, electronics, biomedical or equivalent scientific field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, after‑sales or repair of scientific/laboratory equipment.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, incubators, autoclaves, agitators and related instruments.
- Foundational electronics knowledge and fault diagnostic skills.
- Experience in metrology or calibration is an advantage.
- Autonomous work style, excellent organization, meticulousness and quality orientation.
- Curiosity for new technologies and willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
Language & IT Skills
- French fluent; professional English sufficient for reading technical documents, writing emails and interacting with international suppliers.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
