Skyld is a deeptech company that develops cybersecurity solutions for AI systems. We want to address trust, privacy and intellectual property challenges raised by the massive use of AI algorithms. We are accelerated by UC.Berkeley and Station F and backed by top European investors.

We are looking for a Software Security Engineer to join our team. Your primary focus will be on defensive software security to ensure the robustness of Skyld’s protection mechanisms. To strengthen these defenses, you will also work on offensive tactics, such as attacks dedicated to machine learning algorithms (e.g., reverse engineering of AI models).

Responsibilities

• Develop hardened software solutions for secure AI execution.
• Conduct research on the reverse engineering of AI models (Android, embedded systems).
• Work closely with our AI engineers to implement and deliver our software protection.
• Popularize your findings and research through blog posts and social media.
• Provide customer support by troubleshooting technical issues, answering questions, and ensuring the smooth integration of our solutions.
• Communicate with both clients and technical team to understand the needs and constraints.

Qualifications

• Expertise in C/C++
• Proficiency in Python, Git, Docker
• Knowledge in Cryptography
• Understanding of Obfuscationtechniques
• Fundamentals of Reverse engineering (static and dynamic tools)
• Basic understanding of Assembly (x86_64 & arm64)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Organizational skills: methodical, autonomous
• Fluency in French and English
• Bonus: Know Python compilation (Cython, Python C API, pybind...)
• Bonus: software security knowledge (Runtime Application Self Protection)

The position is based in Rennes, France.
