Join us to apply for the Ingénieur-e système de mesure banc d'essais F/H role at Safran .
Safran is an international high-tech group operating in aerospace (propulsion, equipment, and interiors), space, and defense. Its mission is to contribute sustainably to a safer world, where air transport becomes more environmentally friendly, comfortable, and accessible. With a presence on all continents, the group employs 100,000 people and reported a turnover of €27.3 billion in 2024, holding leading positions worldwide or in Europe in its markets.
Safran Aircraft Engines designs, produces, and markets, alone or in cooperation, civil and military aircraft engines with top performance, reliability, and environmental standards. Notably, through CFM International*, it is the global leader in propulsion for short- and medium-haul commercial aircraft.*CFF International is a 50/50 joint company of Safran Aircraft Engines and GE Aerospace.
We believe that every talent counts; we encourage applications from people with disabilities for our job opportunities.
Technical skills required:
- Physical Measurements (mainly pressure, temperature, vibration, liquid and gas flow rates, positions, rotations...)
- Metrology knowledge
- Fieldbus (CAN, Modbus, ...)
- Electronics and signal processing
- Networking knowledge (a plus)
Within development programs, the 'integration testing' design office of the Ground and Flight Testing Division located in Villaroche develops measurement systems for ground and airborne test benches. These systems cover conventional measurement (pressure, temperatures, analog signals) and frequency measurement (strain gauges, accelerometers...).
The missions entrusted to you will include designing and implementing these systems in test facilities. You should be capable of:
- Consolidating all data (users, context) to develop a complete system architecture
- Understanding and translating user requests into solutions
- Mastering the overall design of an acquisition system/front-end/informatized, considering scalability and sustainability
- Modeling and decomposing the system to make technical choices regarding hardware, software, or packages
- Writing technical specifications
- Managing from preliminary design to acceptance, estimating costs and timelines
- Selecting the best technical offer
- Designing and implementing test and validation plans
- Managing subcontractors (studies, manufacturing)
- Integrating configuration management, documentation, and training
- Validating new concepts based on initial needs
- Ensuring interface with our engine manufacturers and aircraft integrators
