Integrated Power Modelling (IPM), in OneTech Technical Line Power, supports the company’s technological ambition in the digitalization of renewable energies value chain. It brings together cross‑domain expertise (scientific and digital) to deliver digital products with the goal of maximizing both the performance and value of renewable assets (solar, wind, energy storage).

Activités

As Solar Resource & Yield Engineer, you will focus on Resource Assessment and will be responsible for the design and development of numerical models for solar resource projection and analysis of solar meteorological data. These models are critical for supporting project development and optimizing asset operations across the electricity value chain. Acting as a technical referent, you will coordinate activities of the team, ensuring alignment and delivery of high quality solutions to internal stakeholders and business units.

Your day‑to‑day activities:

• Lead the activity on solar resource assessment, participating to the technological roadmap, its execution and guiding the team’s efforts.
• Drive solar resource assessment tasks for urgent modeling support requests from business units and OneTech partners.
• Contribute hands‑on to numerical model development, applying your expertise to improve accuracy and reliability.
• Stay at the forefront of innovation by reviewing scientific literature, monitoring emerging trends, and actively participating in leading conferences.
• Represent TotalEnergies in international collaborations, including IEA PVPS Task 16, strengthening our position in the global solar community.
• Collaborate closely with internal customers and cross-functional teams to ensure models meet operational and development needs.
• Use advanced tools and technologies, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and meteorological data platforms, to deliver robust solutions.

Profil du candidat

• 6 to 10 years of professional experience
• Solid understanding of data analysis, modeling techniques, and handling large meteorological data sets.
• Machine learning expertise or experience applying ML to physical models is a strong plus.
• Able to provide technical guidance and mentorship across the team.
• Enjoys mentoring and providing technical guidance, with real influence.
