Job Summary

Position: Ingénieur(e) Process et Amélioration Continue at Imerys Tableware France (ITWF) – Aixe‑sur‑Vienne. The role focuses on technical field studies, data analysis, and continuous improvement across three production sites.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical field studies (measurements, observations, data processing) to analyze equipment performance and production process settings.
  • Travel to Juriol and Marcognac sites as required for project activities.
  • Apply and enforce HSEQ and site rules, ensuring the safety of employees and external partners.
  • Detect and report operational anomalies or dangerous situations.
  • Define workshop-specific quality and safety targets with site leadership, identify nominal values, and determine causes of deviations.
  • Propose and implement preventive or corrective actions (e.g., for workshop flows, energy consumption, dust emissions) and suggest process modifications.
  • Document technical specifications, technical reports, and investment calculations for projects.
  • Oversee testing and tuning phases, evaluate technological solutions to reduce industrial risk and secure production processes.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to teams on process adjustments and improvement tools.
  • Plan, animate, and follow field projects (5S, Kaizen, SMED) involving production staff.
  • Lead the continuous improvement program: deploy, support, and represent the program across all services.
  • Facilitate the identification of optimization opportunities and manage site-level assessment and reporting of cost savings and KPIs.
  • Coordinate and deliver one or two major improvement projects annually, ensuring alignment with group standards.
  • Maintain and update the site project list, evaluating their technical and economic relevance.
  • Assist project leaders in monitoring project progress, identifying deviations, and producing post‑project experience reports.
  • The role may involve additional missions and projects based on departmental needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Bac+5) in processes (chemistry, mechanics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, etc.).
  • Minimum of 2years of industrial field experience.
  • Strong safety orientation and promotion of company values.
  • Proficiency with problem‑solving tools (5 Why, Ishikawa) and fundamentals of Lean manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for change management and pedagogy with diverse audiences.
  • Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • French full knowledge; English proficiency at least at conversational level.
  • Hands‑on time‑management skills and an appetite for on‑site work and optimization.
  • Excellent communication, relational skills, and teamwork ability across all operational levels.
  • Structured and rigorous with project‑management capabilities and a proactive, pragmatic, and autonomous mindset.
