Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Electrical installation components and repair engineer (m/f) to join the Laboratory for Materials and Processes (LMP) Department based in Marignane, France.
Responsibilities
- Specify and qualify electrical components for installation in helicopters, including harnesses, brackets, and supports.
- Define and validate manufacturing methods and installation rules for these components.
- Collaborate with other electrical component specialists and the electrical integration team to establish installation standards.
- Support the design office and production teams in implementing components and meeting installation rules on the Airbus helicopter range.
- Define and qualify repair solutions for maintenance operations on the helicopter’s electrical system.
- Build and implement technological roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Airbus strategic goals and customer needs.
- Study, qualify, and select components needed for electrical system installation.
- Define test campaigns for component qualification, analyze results, and write qualification reports.
- Define manufacturing methods and tools for component implementation.
- Contribute to the definition of future electrical architecture requirements.
- Participate in rationalization and standardization of installation components.
- Assist in certification documentation for materials and processes.
- Secure and optimize the supply chain of electrical installation components, addressing tenders and obsolescence.
- Analyze root causes of in‑service incidents and propose solutions.
- Support design office and production teams in applying installation rules.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge in electrical component technologies, testing methods (electrical characterization, ageing, environmental, mechanical tests).
- Experience in electrical component implementation on vehicles, preferably in aerospace, automotive or railways.
- Experience in R&D and industrial engineering focused on electrical system installation in aircraft or vehicles.
- Experience in maintenance/repair of electrical systems in aircraft or vehicles.
- Knowledge of aerospace qualification process for electrical components is appreciated.
- Knowledge of continued airworthiness processes is appreciated.
- Team spirit, reliability, open‑mindedness, and ability to federate teams on technical challenges.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Strong customer and results orientation.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Language skills: English (negotiation), French (negotiation); German is a plus.
