Ingénieur Benchmark (F/H)

Valeo’s Site located in Châtellerault, France is a Production Site employing 360 people working on the manufacture of front and rear wiper motors, wheelhouse, as well as rotors and stators for electric bike motors.

We are looking for a **Wiper Motors Benchmark Engineer** to define, coordinate, and execute benchmarking and tech watch activities for Wiper System motors and related components to provide competitive intelligence, support productdevelopment strategy, and improve product/process competitiveness.

Your responsibilities:### **1. Benchmark & Competitive Analysis*** **Strategy:*

• Execute the annual competitive analysis plan based on R&D needs and market trends.* **Technical Analysis:*
• Conduct detailed teardowns, reverse engineering, and lab testing of Valeo and competitor wiper systems to provide data to product development teams (P3, P2, P1, P0).* **Costing:*
• Lead manufacturability studies and reverse costing with Process/Purchasing teams to identify cost-reduction levers and competitor advantages.* **Knowledge Sharing:*
• Manage the central VWS database and product catalogues & regular reports to support internal stakeholders (R&D, Sales, Purchasing, Quality).### **2. Tech Watch & IP*** **Market Intelligence:*
• Monitor carmakers and suppliers for emerging wiper technologies and technology trends.* **Intellectual Property:*
• Survey competitor patents to identify infringement risks or innovative solutions, ensuring alignment between IP and physical benchmarks.* **Events:*
• Attend auto shows and technical congresses to produce synthesis reports and strategic presentations.### **3. Technical Support & Standardization*** **Expertise:*
• Provide technical support for motor and linkage calculations and assist Purchasing, Quality, and R&D on design and warranty issues.* **Standardization:*
• Define assembly and measurement standards with R&D disciplines (HW/SW/Mech).* **Continuous Improvement:*
• Consolidate lessons learned and best practices to enhance product competitiveness and process efficiency.

About you:* **Mechanical, Electronics** or **Electro technical** engineer, or equivalent experience level

• Experience in product development, method and process.
• Good communication (oral and written), strong positive critical spirit, and good knowledge of motor products.
• Management of IT tools (google suite), familiar with Web site search and IA tools
• Knowledge of R&D tools (PLM, design, FMEA).
• Curiosity and willing to share & help attitude, synthesis capacity.
• Fluent in English.
• French & other languages (Chinese or German) are appreciated.
