The Company
Rivage Investment is an Asset Management Company established in Paris, authorized with the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (French market authority). Since 2013 Rivage has successfully launched an infrastructure and public sector finance debt platform and manages assets of over 8 billion euros across >20 funds on behalf of its institutional clients.
Rivage Investment is a major player in the infrastructure debt sector and continues to grow developing new products that respond to the needs of investors. The company has over 50 employees of various nationalities, with offices in Paris, New York and London. The strong and continuing development of Infrastructure Debt is leading the company to reinforce the Portfolio Management team.
The Portfolio Management team
Belonging to the Infrastructure Debt Front Office, the Portfolio Management team is responsible for monitoring infrastructure loans and projects after Financial Close (which is completed by the Deal Execution team). The team monitors both credit quality and credit events in the life of the financings. The current scope includes nearly 100 projects, both senior and high-yield transactions.
The Portfolio Management team interacts with the Borrowers, Sponsors and Agents, and is integrated within Rivage, having daily discussions with the Infrastructure Debt, Middle Office/Back Office, ESG, Compliance teams as well as senior management of the firm.
Job Description
You will be part of a 4-person team, and will be in charge of the monitoring of a portfolio of 25-30 transactions, which implies carrying out the following non-restrictive list of tasks:
Writing and presenting the annual reviews of projects within the infrastructure portfolio, including annual credit reviews, review of internal credit ratings, evaluation the "Qualifying infrastructure" criteria (calculation of the Solvency 2 regulatory capital "SCR Spread" applicable to our insurance clients).
Analyzing the covenants received on the portfolio, and manage any potential difficulties in conjunction with the fund managers and the borrower (and/or agent)
Analyzing requests for waivers and amendments and manage the borrower's (and/or agent's) requests in conjunction with the fund managers and, if necessary, in conjunction with the lawyers and other internal functions (Middle Office, Credit Committee, Compliance, Legal…)
Monitoring of watchlist transactions in collaboration with the front office managers and other internal departments if necessary
Carrying out portfolio performance monitoring reports: quarterly reports for investors, participation in the valuation committee, specific internal or investor presentations and reports (including on specific sectors), collection of financial and non-financial data for ESG purposes
Monitoring the private ratings with the rating agencies
Occasionally, being involved in executions of deals where the structure is already stabilized, or the credit profile already known by the firm.
As part of the Portfolio Management team, you're expected to be a driving force for the improvement of management processes and operational monitoring of our transactions.
Candidate profile
We are looking for a candidate with:
a master's degree from a business school or university;
at least one successful experience in structured finance or infrastructure finance, e.g. in a bank or an asset management company;
fluent English and French, both written and oral. Spanish would be a plus;
an advanced knowledge of Excel.
