Infrastructure / Construction Lawyer - 1-3 years PQE
Our client, a leading global player in the infrastructure and construction sector, is seeking a talented Infrastructure & Construction Lawyer to join its Paris-based legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a dynamic, international business at the forefront of complex infrastructure, development, and construction projects across Europe and beyond.
The Role
As part of a high-performing in-house legal team, you will provide proactive and commercially focused legal support to project and business teams involved in large-scale construction and infrastructure ventures. The position offers broad exposure to contractual, regulatory, and project-related matters in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating EPC, design & build, consultancy, and supply contracts, as well as related commercial documentation.
- Advising project teams on procurement strategy, contract management, and risk allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaising with and managing external counsel, ensuring effective and cost-efficient support on specialist matters.
- Supporting compliance with relevant construction, regulatory, and public procurement frameworks.
- Providing legal training and guidance to internal stakeholders to build awareness of contractual best practices.
- Collaborating closely with international colleagues to deliver consistent and practical legal advice.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Law, ideally with a specialisation in Construction, Contract, or Business Law.
- 1–3 years’ PQE gained within a reputable law firm or in-house team, ideally in the construction, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills in both French and English; confident operating in a multicultural environment.
- Pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach with sound judgement and commercial awareness.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing competing priorities in an international setting.
