Industrial methods and automation manager (M/F/X)

At the heart of the Group’s industrialization, the Methods function structures the resources, standards, and automation for our sites.

Reporting to the Director of Industrialization and Industrial Strategy, you will structure and lead the function at the Group level, define and deploy common standards, and support the early stages of projects to enhance performance and competitiveness.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate workload, allocate resources, and manage the portfolio/budget.
• Get involved early on: design production lines and cells, contribute to cost estimates, and ensure site decisions are sound.
• Develop the Automation/Digital roadmap, prioritize use cases, manage proof‑of‑concept projects, and scale them across the Group.
• Define the packaging & marking roadmap, ensure compliance, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Define and lead DFM/DFA (design for manufacturing/design for assembly) with R&D to maximize productivity, quality, and flexibility (SQCDD).
• Manage the team, develop skills, lead the methods/automation network, and drive change.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or master’s degree in industrial engineering
• At least 10 years of experience in a high‑mix/low‑volume industrial environment.
• Proven experience in industrialization/methods and in automation/semi‑automation of assembly/testing.
• Proficiency in DFM/DFA (design for manufacturing/design for assembly), process validation, capability analysis, ergonomics, and machine safety; familiarity with industrial digital systems (traceability, data, diagnostics, and integration).
• Leadership of cross‑functional projects and team management.
