• Title: Industrial Mechanical Technician - MID
• Salary: Up to $30.00 / hr
• Location: Paris, IL
• Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; some On‑Call hours

What Will I Be Doing?

• Work in a team‑oriented and safety‑conscious environment; comply with safety guidelines.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power‑driven rotating equipment.
• Follow established standards and perform tasks with varying supervision.
• Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures and provide work order feedback on discrepancies.
• Use hand and power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, preventive/predictive maintenance.
• May be required to operate forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
• Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, with fall protection as necessary.
• Work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded.
• Ensure compliance with company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Achieve performance expectations and develop employee development plan.
• Communicate with team to assist development of short‑ and long‑range planning.
• Maintain personal tools and update documented tool list.
• Meet physical requirements of the job (provided prior to employment).
• Perform tasks safely, effectively, efficiently.
• Accurate administrative duties: time accounting and work order completion.
• Maintain positive customer and employee relations.

What Makes Me Qualified?

• Experience: 0‑5 years mechanical experience and/or 1‑2 years education in industrial maintenance technologies.

Physical Demands

• Observe details at close range.
• Control precision: adjust machine controls to exact positions.
• Manual dexterity: grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Substantial lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Move for extended or continuous periods.
• Ascend/descend staircases, ladders, or step stools.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Operate forklifts or other vehicles safely.
• Wear respirator while performing job duties.
• Communicate information and ideas clearly.
• Arrange things or actions in specific order/pattern according to rules.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, vibration, occasional extreme heat/cold, wet/humid conditions, and high noise levels.

Compensation and Benefits

Cushman & Wakefield provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life, and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time off. Compensation for this position will be $25.50–$30.00 per hour, depending on location, experience, and collective bargaining agreements. This role will not pay less than minimum wage.
