Your missions

Reporting to the Group Procurement Department, the Industrial Indirect Buyer will be responsible for managing the industrial indirect procurement portfolio (laboratory consumables, MRO, Facility Management, production consumables) across Ceva Santé Animale’s manufacturing sites in France and Italy. The role will also contribute to the leadership of selected indirect procurement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and securing spending through a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach, identifying regional synergies, and ensuring the effective deployment and execution of strategies and guidelines defined by the Corporate Indirect Procurement organization. In addition, the role will ensure compliance with procurement processes and best practices across the assigned scope.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy Deployment

  • Ensure the deployment and operational execution of procurement strategies and standards defined by the Corporate Indirect Procurement organization, guaranteeing effective adoption by all relevant manufacturing sites and subsidiaries.
  • Act as the primary interface between Corporate Procurement and local sites, ensuring the communication, adaptation, and implementation of procurement directives.
  • Provide feedback to Corporate teams regarding local specificities and constraints that may impact the global procurement strategy (local suppliers, regulations, site maturity, operational requirements, etc.).
  • Contribute to the harmonization of procurement practices and foster a shared procurement culture.

Industrial Indirect Procurement Strategy

  • Develop and implement a procurement roadmap for the assigned categories in collaboration with Production, Maintenance, and Site Management teams, while ensuring alignment with Corporate objectives.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders and site teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities, procurement synergies, and service improvements.
  • Identify, structure, and implement synergies between the manufacturing sites to maximize procurement performance.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct regular benchmarking activities on industrial indirect procurement categories.

Operational Procurement Management

  • Lead procurement processes (RFI/RFQ) from requirement definition through supplier selection and contract negotiation across the assigned indirect procurement categories.
  • Actively contribute to Ceva’s financial performance through value creation and cost‑optimization initiatives.
  • Manage and develop relationships with local and regional suppliers through a structured Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) approach.
  • Assess and monitor supplier risks and implement mitigation plans where required.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with procurement processes, methodologies, and standards defined by the Group Global Purchasing Excellence team.
  • Contribute to Ceva Group’s sustainability and CSR objectives at the regional level.
  • Track and report procurement performance through the Per Angusta procurement performance management tool.

Your profile

Education

  • Master's degree (Master’s level/Bac+5) from a Business School or equivalent, ideally with a specialization in Procurement (MAI or similar).

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Procurement/Purchasing role.
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry, animal health sector, or a highly regulated industrial environment would be highly desirable.

Skills

  • Strong procurement and sourcing expertise.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional and international projects.
  • Good knowledge of industrial indirect procurement categories.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
