Industrial I&C Engineer

We are looking for an Industrial I&C Engineer in support to our client Fusion for Energy for their location in Cadarache, France or Barcelona, Spain. Remote arrangements can be discussed, with a mandatory onboarding period in Barcelona. Please note that this is a temporary position. The period will be discussed in the interview stage.
Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).
The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Provide industrial I&C expertise to various projects (in particular Cryoplant and Fuel Cycle processes: Tritium Plant, Leak Detection, Cryoplant, etc.)
- Support the development of feasible and efficient I&C solutions and architectures
- Generate I&C documentation and studies: specifications, guidelines, proposals
- Review and development of single line and wiring diagrams
- Review of P&IDs
- Provide expertise for PLC SW implementation and devices configuration (guidelines for external contractors, code and PLC projects review, implementation activities)
- Support and follow-up R&D, prototyping and testing activities
- Contribute to the revision of qualification strategies, test plans, test execution and reporting
- Ensure transversal communication and consistency with other ITER plant systems I&C

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Electrical/Electronics engineering (or similar)
- At least 8 years of experience in a relevant field
- Design-implementation-test of large/distributed control systems in industrial/scientific facilities: Interfaces with process engineers, consolidation of protection/control functions, synthesis of operational requirements, etc
- Design of control system architectures: control loops, selection of sensors/actuators, signal conditioning/acquisition, controllers, communications, networks, HMI/SCADA
- Hands‑on development of large PLC‑based control systems (SW architecture definition, object‑oriented implementation, testing and commissioning, in particular with Siemens family of products)
- Design of electronics/pneumatic cubicles/cabinets and wiring/cabling
- Development of technical documentation for large projects: requirements specification, technical reviews and notes, engineering design documentation, test and acceptance documentation, etc.
- Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the EU
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
