Job description
We are looking for an Industrial Field Technician to support the development of our Industrial Engineering team (7 people), responsible for hardware and special vision system machines.
The Industrial Field Technician will be responsible to ensure installation, maintenance, and electromechanical troubleshooting of EDGYN machines and systems for clients in France and internationally.
Your Missions
- System Maintenance at Client Sites
- Plan, organize, and manage maintenance activities with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Perform on-site maintenance and troubleshooting (electromechanical, optical, automation, IT & network), with remote support when required
- Prepare maintenance reports and provide structured feedback
- System Assembly in Our Workshop
- Assemble, inspect, and test electrical cabinets as well as optical and mechanical systems
- Configure and set up systems on test benches for full validation
- Execute and validate test protocols with internal and external stakeholders
- System Installation at Client Sites
- Perform on-site electrical and mechanical hardware installation
- Execute final system setup, integration with customer systems, and test protocol validation
- Deliver training for operators, maintenance technicians, and supervisors
- Collect feedback to support continuous improvement
- Internal Optical Products Assembly & Support
- Assemble, calibrate, and test internal optical products, including portable systems
- Support production planning and lifecycle management of internal optical products
- Perform maintenance and upgrades of customers’ optical readers
- Internal Support, Validation & Continuous Improvement
- Support internal system design, assembly, validation, and shipment preparation
- Provide troubleshooting, technical support, and site audits for system implementation
- Ensure internal maintenance, tool control, calibration, and safety to support continuous improvement.
What we are looking for / You may be a good fit for the team if you have or are:
- At least 7 years of experience in industrial installation/maintenance (mandatory), ideally, in manufacturing (packaging, pharma, beverages, …) and with industrial printers & cameras.
- Willingness to travel: available for regular travel in France & abroad (driver’s licence (B) required)
- Ease in speaking with different stakeholders / good communication, and client relations
- English proficiency: comfortable in spoken and written English + familiar with technical electromechanical vocabulary / French fluent
- Degree BAC +2 in electrotechnics / electrical, and Electrical certification if possible
