Industrial Electrician

Full Time

Salary Range: $28.85 – $48.08 hourly

FoxFarm Soil & Fertilizer Company is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance Team.

This position is responsible for installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment. Troubleshooting machine centers and aiding maintenance team with breakdowns and/or projects. The primary goal is to minimize downtime and plant expenses while maximizing safety by keeping all electrical in proper working condition.

Job Specific Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
• Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
• Ability to bend EMT.
• Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans.
• Accurately prioritizes projects and preventative maintenance to ensure minimization of downtime.
• Assists with maintenance tasks within warehouse departments as needed.
• Regular attendance and timeliness.
• Follows, complies, conforms and abides with all company regulations, policies, instructions as well as safety and security policies/procedures.

Knowledge, Skill And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid/current electrician license.
• Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams and installation instructions.

Typical shifts are Monday - Friday 5:30am until 2:00pm with potential for overtime.
