Industrial Cybersecurity F/M

GravitHy is an innovative French company with a global ambition to decarbonize the steel industry. Our mission is to produce large-scale, low-carbon Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) using renewable and low-emission hydrogen. We plan to build, own, and operate our first green iron plant in southern France (€2.5B Capex), with the objective of replicating this model across Europe and beyond.

About the role (internship / apprentice)

GravitHy is looking for an Industrial Cybersecurity / ICSS Project (FEED Phase) (F/M). The intern or apprentice will contribute to industrial cybersecurity activities during the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) phase of a project.

He or she will support the definition, review, and formalization of security requirements applicable to ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety System) architectures, industrial networks, OEM interfaces, and connected plant systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the cybersecurity review of the Plantwide ICSS architecture.
• Contribute to identifying interfaces between PCS, SIS, F&G, SCADA, Historians, OEM packages, and third‑party systems.
• Support the review of network segmentation philosophies, zones and conduits, remote access, and communication flows.
• Assist in preparing or updating FEED documentation related to industrial cybersecurity, including:
• network / security philosophies,
• interface lists,
• communication matrices,
• technical requirements for vendors / OEMs.
• Support the team in verifying compliance of proposed architectures with industrial cybersecurity principles and project best practices.
• Contribute to identifying sensitive points such as maintenance access, OEM remote connections, IT/OT gateways, shared servers, time synchronization, antivirus, backups, and privileged accounts.
• Participate in technical reviews with automation, telecom, IT disciplines, and suppliers.
• Conduct document monitoring on applicable standards and recommendations, particularly IEC 62443.
• Help formalize observations, technical comments, deviations, and recommendations within FEED deliverables.

Education

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or Engineering degree in Automation, Industrial Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of ICs / OT environments (PLC, DCS, SCADA, SIS).
• Understanding of industrial networks and network segmentation principles.
• Awareness of industrial cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443 is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and structured mindset.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
