Impact Technical Sales
About the Role
POSITION PURPOSE: We are looking for an ambitious customer facing professional to join our newly formed, fast growing Customer Success team. This is a perfect role for someone who has expertise in bond markets, thrives in a client‑facing role, and enjoys relationship building. This position will provide expert support to our Sustainable Finance Solutions clients, ensuring client satisfaction and creating opportunities for revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Support bankers to understand, identify and support their clients in impact related products, primarily SPOs and SLBs.
- Support bankers/consultants to advise their clients on understanding and interpreting our taxonomy and other use of proceeds.
- Support Commercialization Managers to integrate these services into offers.
- Support Commercialization Managers in creating tools and processes for providing advisory to bankers.
- Support the broader commercial team in conversations on the Opinion Services to close sales and to support existing clients via Customer Success.
- Provide training to the sales team.
- Be expert in the taxonomy and provide guidance to sales, but rely on the Taxonomy team for the ultimate calls.
- At direction of manager, support CR and Morningstar teams with SFS services/offers.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate understands ESG ratings, banking and is savvy with Microsoft Excel and software.
- Must have advanced Business English oral and writing skills, as the company’s working language is English; competency in French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, German highly desired, other language skills would be useful.
- Client facing and commercially minded, able to respond quickly to customers in a sales environment.
- Experience in financials, ESG/sustainability research and with GSS bonds.
- Strong understanding of impact and the EU Taxonomy and bonds.
- Competencies that will need to be quickly attained to be effective in the role: needs to be expert in the SCS Taxonomy and SPOs, needs to understand the fixed income market and terminology, need to understand changes in our taxonomy and services related to Opinions and Impact.
