The L2 & L3 IFS Functional Analyst will be a key member of the Application Management Services (AMS) team, providing expert-level functional support, analysis, and configuration for clients using IFS Cloud or any other ERP. This role requires in-depth knowledge of functional modules, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with French and English-speaking stakeholders and end-users. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of client ERP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Resolution (L2/L3):
- Provide expert functional support for escalated incidents from L1 teams, troubleshooting complex issues within the Finance, Project Management, procurement or Sales modules.
- Perform in-depth analysis to identify root causes of system issues and propose sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with L3 technical teams and the software vendor to resolve bugs or highly complex technical problems.
- Functional Analysis & Configuration:
- Gather and document detailed business requirements from French and English-speaking stakeholders for enhancements or new functionalities.
- Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and standard IFS functionality, proposing configurations or workarounds.
- Configure ERP applications to meet specific business needs across the designated modules (Finance, Projects, procurement and Sales).
- Change Management & Testing:
- Design and document functional specifications for approved changes and enhancements.
- Develop test plans and perform system integration testing (SIT) and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Manage the migration of changes into production environments following established protocols.
- Communication & Documentation:
- Act as the primary functional point of contact for French and English-speaking clients within the AMS framework.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, user manuals, and configuration guides, in both French and English.
- Conduct user training sessions in both languages when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent spoken and written English and French is a mandatory requirement for effective client and team interaction.
- ERP Experience:
- Proven experience as an IFS Functional Analyst or Consultant, specifically with IFS Cloud or previous versions.
- In-depth functional knowledge of core ERP modules:
- Technical & Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with AMS (Application Management Services) and ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Education and Certification
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of IFS Cloud application and relevant IFS certifications is added advantage
Work Conditions
- Support Window: 9x5 coverage with on-call rotation for priority incidents.
