IFRS accountant specialist (f/m)

Job Description

Airbus is looking for an IFRS accountant specialist (f/m) to join our Accounting department based in Toulouse, France. The role focuses on consolidated financial statements, quality and adherence to deadlines, ensuring accounting and disclosures comply fully with Airbus accounting rules and IFRS standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure IFRS compliance and coordinate auditors' onboarding to Airbus practices.
• Follow up and proactively contribute to IFRS development with regular exchanges with peers and auditors.
• Define and roll out new accounting policies throughout Airbus in close cooperation with responsible counterparts.
• Drive consistency and harmonization in accounting policy implementation, through review and update of the group accounting manual and guidance notes.
• Disseminate information on key developments and expected changes to the finance community and stakeholders.
• Liaise with Airbus external Financial Reporting to ensure high quality implementation of disclosure requirements and reflect market regulators' recommendations in the consolidated financial statements.
• Provide IFRS accounting advice to the business on a global basis to optimize transaction structure.
• Ensure comprehensive skill development of Airbus Finance community in IFRS.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years experience in technical accounting.
• Extensive understanding of IFRS and strong appetite for technical topics and transversal challenges.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders and managing deliverables under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact confidently with senior stakeholders and external auditors.
• Proactive, agile, and energetic, adaptable in a dynamic environment.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); French and/or German are a plus.
