Service
The Medical Imaging Service, Angiography Suite, focuses on patients with heart disease. The team includes 5 Infirmiers Diplômés d’Etat (IDE), 5 Manipulateurs d’ÉlectroRadiologie (MER), 3 Aides‑Soignants (AS), medical staff, a cadre de santé and a senior cadre.
Mission
Participate with doctors in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in interventional cardiology under imaging, and provide care for cardiac patients. Operations run 24/7/365.
- Perform rhythmology procedures such as pacemaker placement, DAI implantation, ablation of flutter, atrial fibrillation, etc.
- Perform peripheral angiography procedures: angioplasty of lower limbs, upper limbs, renal, digestive, fistulography, catheter insertion, filter placement, embolization, etc.
- Perform coronary cardiology angiography: coronary angioplasty, complex CTO procedures, right heart measurements, training probes, FFR, OCT, aortic valvuloplasty, closure of fistula, septal ablation.
- Assist in routine activities in hemodynamic or rhythmology sectors.
- Assist in research activities in cardiology.
- Collaborate with IADE for exams under general anesthesia.
- Work in partnership with MER.
- Support patient arrival, preparation, and technical assistance for simple and complex procedures.
- Operate electrophysiological bays, record patient vitals and ECGs.
- Enter patient data into the IT system, manage inductions, and record procedural details.
- Educate and inform patients.
- Verify opening of two rooms, SSPI, and information system accesses.
- Ensure patient global care before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain hygiene and patient comfort.
- Perform hemodynamic and ventilatory monitoring.
- Prevent hypothermia, transfusion safety, and pain management.
- Assist in image interpretation and subsequent care.
- Conduct indirect care activities: supply of workstations, traceability of procedures, archiving, inventory management of drugs and devices, code documentation, and procurement of consumables.
- Use radiation protection measures when X‑rays are used.
- Notify the interventional team of material and medication needs, participate in stock management, forecasting, and reordering.
- Handle controlled substances, ensure equipment maintenance and verify expiration dates.
- Record procedures and drug dispensing data on the Xplore software and in drug lists.
- Transmit written and oral information about patient management to SSPI and other care teams.
- Wear passive dosimeters and track implanted devices, adverse events, and report to ENOV software.
- Provide feedback on unit functioning and patient follow‑up.
Work Organization
70% interventional cardiology, 30% UCASAR. Working hours: 07:15‑19:15 or 08:00‑20:00 Monday‑Friday, with on‑call from 20:00 Monday to 08:00 Friday and from 20:00 Friday to 08:00 Monday. 25 vacation days and 14 RTT days (base 37h30 weekly for full‑time positions).
