Hydrodynamics Engineer

At CELESTA L, we are currently supporting a major offshore energy project and are looking for a Hydrodynamics Engineer to join an international engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrodynamics and mooring leg calculations
• Deliver station keeping analyses, global performance analyses and interface loads
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards and regulations
• Develop engineering deliverables in accordance with project requirements and procedures
• Support the timely and accurate delivery of engineering activities within the overall project schedule
• Work closely with Engineers and Designers across multiple disciplines
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third-party consultants
• Provide technical input to support design requirements and project deliverables
• Resolve technical issues and support effective communication between stakeholders
• Ensure engineering deliverables are reviewed, checked and issued with the required quality level

Qualifications

• Experience in hydrodynamics and mooring analysis
• Experience working on offshore engineering projects
• Experience delivering engineering calculations and technical documentation
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience with hydrodynamics calculations for offshore floaters is a plus
• Programming skills in Matlab and/or Python
• Knowledge of hydrodynamics numerical analysis tools such as OrcaFlex, Ariane and Hydrostar
• Knowledge of hydrodynamics database generation, motions and accelerations calculations
• Knowledge of wave bending moments calculations and bilge keels design is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
