HW/SW Codesign Engineer – Many-Core Systems

We're seeking a HW/SW Codesign Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our team on a six-month fixed-term contract (CDD), with the possibility of extending up to two years based on performance.

In this role, you'll contribute to the hardware/software co-design of many-core chips, focusing on accelerating communication. You'll be responsible for modeling hardware components, developing interfaces, and analyzing performance data to optimize our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the co-design of hardware/software interfaces for many-core architectures.
• Model hardware components using high-level simulators, such as GEM5.
• Develop drivers and libraries in C for seamless hardware/software integration.
• Execute simulations and analyze the resulting performance data, presenting findings in plots and tables.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C and Python.
• Experience with RTL or SystemC for hardware modeling and design.
• Solid understanding of OS internals (including scheduling, syscalls, interrupts, and memory management).
• Knowledge of CPU architecture, cache systems, and interconnects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the GEM5 simulator.
• Working knowledge of C++.
• A track record of research output, such as papers or patents, in the field of HW/SW co-design for many-core SoCs.
• Authorship of 5 or more publications or patents related to many-core hardware design.
