Job Description
You are responsible for the sale of Hitachi Energy’s advanced High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems across Central and Southern European markets.
- Lead the identification, structuring, and negotiation of major HVDC opportunities.
- Operate operational responsibility for a project team including tender managers, engineers, lawyers, tax advisors, financing specialists, and service experts.
- Collaborate with account management, front‑end sales teams, and country representatives to position the company for future business opportunities.
- Identify consortium partners, local contractors or suppliers.
- Develop new market opportunities with a strong focus on the French market.
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand needs, promote the full Hitachi Energy offering, and align internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Define commercial strategies and capture plans, conduct regular status reviews, and ensure execution.
- Lead capture teams from early pursuit through offer preparation, coordinating with the bid and proposal department to deliver cost‑optimized, value‑focused solutions on time.
- Lead internal consortia and/or establish external consortia with partners.
- Drive negotiations to close deals under the best conditions, creating added value for both customer and Hitachi Energy.
- Ensure the success of transactions, contracts, and proposals through effective sales techniques and experience.
- Promote knowledge sharing and cross‑collaboration within Hitachi Energy.
Qualifications
- Experience working across different cultures; strong sensitivity to cultural behaviors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration with a technical background.
- Experience with EP or EPC contracts and commercial expertise in selling large infrastructure projects; more than 10 years of experience is a plus.
- Strong existing network and in‑depth knowledge of the electricity sector (required).
- Excellent written and spoken English; French and additional languages are a plus.
- Strong sales mindset with proven negotiation and closing skills; supportive leadership style; ability to coach and motivate teams; work under pressure; willing to travel.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills; team builder; results‑ and customer‑oriented; assertive yet flexible.
- Strategic thinker with ability to analyze and manage complex business situations and customer needs.
- Proficient in MS Office and cloud‑based tools.
