Job Title

HVAC Project Estimator

Work Location

296 University Ave, Belleville, ON K8N 5S4

Work Schedule

8am-5pm - 40 hours per week

Salary Range

75-80k

Project Estimator

The Project Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC Construction projects. The estimator analyzes project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine the scope, materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment required for the project. The estimator also communicates with clients, vendors, and internal staff to clarify project details, negotiate prices, and resolve issues. The estimator prepares detailed proposals and bid packages that reflect the project requirements and comply with company standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Read mechanical drawings or RFPs to gather detailed scope needed for estimates.
• Source materials and equipment pricing, contact subcontractors.
• Put together estimates for HVAC Construction Projects (Labor, parts, materials, etc.).
• Work with the Sales Team to create proposals.
• Support presentations for the Sales process.
• Coordinate Project processes (Follow up with Foreman, coordinate labor and materials for job sites).

Requirements

• HVAC industry experience is an asset.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings/RFPs.
• At least 3+ years of estimation experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft suite and computer literacy.
• Diploma/degree in a mechanical field is an asset.
• Has a driver’s license with the ability to visit project sites in a limited capacity.
