Job Description:Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Human Factors Engineering and Flight Deck Specialist to join our department based in Toulouse - Saint Martin, France.Human Factors Engineering is responsible for a holistic development of Human Manchine Interfaces (HMI) for all relevant operators workstations within Military Air platforms, e.g. cockpits, flight decks, mission consoles and ground control stations.Human-machine interface Design aims at designing the best interface between people and their activities using the best technologies, the best User Interface principles and the best 'design and validation' methodologies such as prototyping methods.Your working environment:Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city of the southwest of France served by an international airport. Depending on the site: health services center, concierge services, gym, carpooling application.Individual development: Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects  with unlimited access to +10.000 e-learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, expert career path, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.Your ChallengesThe job mainly consist on the application of Human Factors Engineering (HFE) to ensure a user-centered Workstation/HMI design according to Human Factors criteria:Classical ergonomics criteria: Visibility, reachability, physical usability, ingress and egress.Cognitive ergonomics criteria: operators workload, usability, situational awareness, human error.Environmental aspects affecting operation: Lighting, NVIS compatibility, noise.Main tasks and responsibilities include:Workstations design (cockpits, flight decks, mission consoles and ground control stations), including the definition of geometry, layout and furnishingHMI Design and multimodal interaction: Control Units, indicators and displays and moding (Graphical User Interface), interaction means. Application of end-to-end HFE process along systems life cycle from early analysis during concept definitions up to entry into service. Mission analysis, task analysis, ergonomic analysis, workload analysis and Human Error Analysis,HMI prototyping, both HW and SW, according to system development phase, e.g. virtual models/simulations and physiscal mock-ups.Human Factors V&V: User centered design reviews, demonstrations, validation and testingHuman Factors qualification and certificationThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.Company:Airbus Defence and Space SASEmployment Type:Permanent-------Classe Emploi (France): Classe F12Experience Level:ProfessionalJob Family:Qualification & Operability
