HSE Advisor

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with local HSE regulations and project‑specific safety standards
• Implement and maintain the Health, Safety & Environmental Management System on site
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Identify hazards and implement preventive and corrective actions
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to HSE requirements
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and produce detailed reports
• Track and report on HSE KPIs to project management
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices at all times
• Support emergency preparedness and response planning
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HSE Advisor on construction projects (data centre experience is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of Belgian HSE regulations
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
• Experience with risk assessments, method statements, and permit‑to‑work systems
• Ability to conduct audits and deliver training effectively
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
