Responsibilities

  • Shape the business/functional strategy by understanding business drivers, concerns and requirements, and delivering insights into people impacts.
  • Define, develop and deliver the HR strategy founded on organisational needs, business challenges and key metrics.
  • Adapt HR initiatives based on customer insight and organisational fit.
  • Lead change management implementation using proven tools and techniques to facilitate and drive performance.
  • Provide leadership development and executive coaching, challenging senior leaders and ensuring managers possess necessary skills.
  • Design and develop organisational structure, identifying efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
  • Support local people plans and drive a transformational people agenda.
  • Plan strategic workforce, ensuring future sizing and capability to meet organisational needs and address skill gaps.
  • Develop cultural initiatives that underpin delivery of business goals and boost employee engagement.
  • Manage relationships with works councils, HR COEs, HR services and external suppliers to uphold brand reputation and optimise processes.
  • Deliver key HR processes with advisory support, including attendance, performance and reward.
  • Manage disciplinary, grievance and appeal processes according to formal procedures.
  • Coach line managers to become effective people managers, autonomous in operating HR‑related processes.
  • Roll out CoE outputs to line managers and employees, such as new bonus plans and grading schemes.
  • Respond to complex queries from managers and employees through transactional HR services.

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, Psychology or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10 years of HR experience, including proven site or plant HR leadership in an industrial or regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of French labour law and local employee relations practice.
  • Experience driving organisational change, restructures and consultation processes.
  • Demonstrable coaching experience with senior leaders and manager capability building.
  • On‑site presence required; hybrid working may be considered based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or recognised HR professional qualification.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Track record working with unions, works councils or formal employee representative bodies.
  • Strong technical skills with HR systems and workforce analytics.
  • Project management experience for large, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Fluent French and professional working proficiency in English.

The site will have a clear, future‑ready workforce plan aligned to business needs, leaders confident in managing performance, change and people issues, constructive employee relations with low legal risk, simple and reliable HR delivery supporting high quality and productivity, and talent pipelines and succession plans reducing critical skills risk.
