HR & Payroll Coordinator

Bordeaux (FR) | CDI | Full-time | Site-based

We are looking for an HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our French People team in Bordeaux.This role comes at an exciting time as we continue to strengthen our HR operations following a period of organisational change.Working in a small and collaborative HR team, you'll have the opportunity to play a hands-on role across payroll, HR administration, employee lifecycle activities and continuous improvement projects, with visibility across multiple sites in France.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining HR operations, payroll accuracy, data quality and employee support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Payroll Support

• Support the Payroll Manager in preparing and processing monthly payroll
• Verify timesheets, overtime and approved leave
• Process payroll changes (starters, leavers, contractual updates)
• Maintain accurate payroll records and colleague data
• Generate payroll reports and support payroll data audits
• Update and maintain the time & attendance system
• Respond to payroll queries and ensure deadlines are met

HR Administration

• Support the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, probation, changes, offboarding)
• Prepare contracts and onboarding documentation
• Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS
• Coordinate new starters with Payroll
• Conduct compliance checks and ensure GDPR compliance

Benefits Administration

• Manage and update employee benefit data (health insurance, pension, etc.)
• Communicate changes with providers
• Maintain accurate benefit records and track eligibility
• Conduct regular audits of benefits data

Compliance, reporting & Continuous improvement

• Support HR and payroll audits
• Produce and maintain HR reports and employee data
• Support People projects and process improvement initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve ways of working and data accuracy
• Provide support on ad hoc People activities

About you

• Previous experience in an HR Administration, HR Coordinator or Payroll Coordinator role
• Strong attention to detail and passion for data accuracy
• Experience working with HRIS, payroll and time & attendance systems (Nibelis, Kelio, Lucca)
• Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively
• Comfortable producing reports and working with HR data
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach
• Comfortable working in a changing and fast-paced environment
• English is a plus, as you may occasionally interact with colleagues and stakeholders across the wider UK-based group, although the role is primarily French-speaking
