YOUR ROLE
We're looking for a Freelance HR Manager, available 2 to 3 days per week. You'll step into an already-structured HR function and your first priority will be recruitment: SOVA is scaling fast and internationally, with a full pipeline of roles to launch and run across France and our new Lisbon branch.
You'll work closely with the founders and the leadership team to keep hiring moving at startup speed while ensuring the day-to-day HR runs smoothly.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruitment (your main focus)
- Analyzing hiring needs with founders and managers
- Writing and publishing job descriptions (FR & EN)
- Proactively sourcing candidates
- Managing the full recruitment cycle end to end
- Conducting pre-screening interviews - fully in English for international roles
- Acting as the first strategic filter before founder interviews
- Maintaining and improving our recruitment pipeline and tools (Notion, Tally)
2. HR administration & payroll
- Collecting and submitting payroll variables; reviewing and validating payroll (Payfit)
- Drafting employment contracts and amendments
- Managing onboarding and offboarding formalities
- Overseeing day-to-day HR admin (leave tracking, absences, employee database)
3. HR processes & operations
- Maintaining and running scalable HR processes in a high-growth environment
- Keeping onboarding journeys structured and smooth
- Supporting internal HR communication
4. Employee relations & manager support
- Supporting managers on day-to-day HR matters
- Handling HR questions from team members
- Helping prevent and manage sensitive situations
YOUR PROFILE
We're looking for a structured and autonomous profile who can hit the ground running.
You're a great fit if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in HR
- A strong track record of high-volume recruitment
- Experience in high-growth and international environments
- A profile that combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution
- The ability to step into an existing function and keep it running independently
- Comfort working autonomously in a part‑time setup
- Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken
- A genuine interest in women's health (a strong plus)
TERMS
- Status: Freelance contract
- Format: 2 to 3 days a week
- Start: August 2026.
- Location: Hybrid setup (occasional presence in Paris required)
