Position Title : HR Manager, FranceLocation : Fontenay-sous-Bois, France (with travel up to 10%)Reporting line : HR Director – South Europe

Your Opportunity We are seeking an HR Manager France to support approximately 400 employees across our three legal entities in France. This is a hands-on, senior generalist role with a strong emphasis on labour relations , employee relations , and operational HR leadership within a multinational, matrix environment . The role plays a critical part in supporting the business through ongoing transformation and post-merger integration, while ensuring full compliance with French labour law and alignment with Solenis’ global HR framework. The HR Manager acts as the primary HR authority in France , fully owns local HR delivery , employee relations , and union processes , while acting as a trusted advisor to local leadership and contributing to local HR strategies that support business needs. The role plays a key part in supporting post-merger integration, optimizing HR processes, and strengthening employee engagement and performance, while ensuring alignment with Solenis’ global HR direction.

Your Role in Action HR Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Lead HR operations for France, ensuring consistent and high-quality HR service delivery.
  • Implement global and regional HR strategies, adapting initiatives to local needs where appropriate.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to local leadership teams on workforce planning, organizational design, and succession pipeline insights.
  • Drive initiatives that foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture.
  • Lead and develop the French HR team, providing coaching, guidance, and performance support.
  • Provide daily HR guidance, advice, and coaching to managers across HR topics.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Fully own employee and labour relations in France, including disciplinary processes, grievances, restructurings, and complex case management.
  • Lead union and employee representative relations consultation processes, including negotiations and statutory consultation processes.
  • Ensure robust social dialogue and constructive relationships with works councils.
  • Ensure strict compliance with French labour law and employment regulations.
  • Partner with Legal and other stakeholders on sensitive and high-risk employee matters.

Talent Management & Development

  • Support talent acquisition activities and ensure effective onboarding.
  • Lead local performance management cycles, ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Deploy learning and development initiatives to build capability and support employee growth.
  • Contribute to succession planning and talent pipeline discussions.

Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations

  • Implement global and regional compensation & benefits programs locally.
  • Provide insights on local market practices to global COE teams.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements (pay, pensions, insurances).
  • Lead day-to-day HR operations, ensure efficient execution and continuous process improvement.
  • Monitor HR metrics, risks, and budget alignment.
  • Support HR systems implementation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor HR-related spend for France to ensure alignment with budget expectations.
  • Ensure consistent HR documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 – 7+ years’ experience in a senior HR generalist role (HR Manager or Senior HRBP), ideally within a international or multicultural environments and matrix structures.
  • Strong, hands-on expertise in French labour law and union relations is essential.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases and social dialogue.
  • Experience leading and developing HR teams with a strong operational background in managing end-to-end HR service delivery.
  • Background in compensation & benefits implementation within larger organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability delivering change initiatives and supporting cultural transformation.
  • Native-level French and professional-level English (C1/C2).
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability, including interaction with global COEs.
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Human Resources, Labour Law, or equivalent.
