Overview

As HRBP France for BU Special Papers, you will coordinate all HR‑related topics in the country, reporting directly to the BU HR Director and functionally to the local General Manager. You will cover both the Zuber Rieder production site (~120 colleagues) and the commercial subsidiary (~50 colleagues), ensuring strong partnership with senior management, local managers and Group HR teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the local HR strategy, translating business needs into actions and aligning priorities with management and Group guidelines.
  • Manage core HR operations (administration, payroll, HRIS, employee lifecycle and reporting) for the production site and commercial entity.
  • Act as HR partner to managers and employees, providing advice on HR matters.
  • Manage employee and labor relations, supporting negotiations and implementation of agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with French labour law, collective agreements and company policies.
  • Strengthen engagement, retention and workplace climate, supporting local change initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR budgeting, payroll, salary review and MBO processes with global HR and C&B team.
  • Support performance management and talent development, anticipating workforce needs.
  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Support internal communication and engagement, acting as a link between management and employees.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional HR projects.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years’ experience in HR roles, ideally as HRBP or HR Manager in international, structured industrial environments.
  • Strong interest and exposure to the manufacturing sector.
  • Solid experience in employee and labor relations, including unions and works councils.
  • Good knowledge of payroll, HR administration and French labour law, with ability to ensure compliance and advise managers.
  • Hands‑on experience across key HR areas: talent, learning, recruitment, performance and rewards.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work cross‑functionally and handle complexity.
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented and proactive, with integrity, discretion and strong analytical/problem‑solving skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Degree/Master’s in HR, Employment Law or related fields is a plus.
