Purpose of the Job

The People + Talent (P+T) Advisor works closely with managers and colleagues to deliver effective, pragmatic, and commercially focused HR support across designated business areas. Operating within a multi‑country environment, with primary responsibility for France and the Nordics while supporting Italy, Spain and Portugal as required. The Advisor ensures that people practices are delivered in line with company policies, procedures, and local employment legislation.

The Advisor reports to P+T Business Partner and plays a key role in the day‑to‑day delivery of HR services, taking the lead in managing employee relations casework, supporting organisational change, and maintaining a consistent and compliant employee experience across the employee lifecycle. They apply sound judgement to interpret employment laws and policies, to ensure compliance and mitigate risks, with escalation and support from the P+T Business Partner on more complex or high‑risk matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute global P+T strategies at the regional and local level, ensuring alignment with business objectives and local operational requirements.
  • Provide a high‑quality P+T advisory service to managers and colleagues, offering pragmatic, customer‑focused guidance in line with company policies, procedures, and local employment legislation.
  • Coach and support managers to build capability in people management and the application of HR policies and processes.
  • Manage day‑to‑day employee relations casework, including grievances, disciplinaries, absence, family leave, and performance matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes. Provide guidance and coaching to colleagues and managers on conflict resolution.
  • Define, implement, and enforce compliant local P+T policies that align with both company guidelines and regional/local regulations.
  • Support line managers with performance management issues, providing guidance on performance appraisals, development plans, and improvement strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with the global colleague experience, offering guidance on retention, engagement, and talent development.
  • Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, business transfers (e.g. ARD/TUPE), and new business onboarding, ensuring smooth and compliant implementation, and minimal disruption at local level.
  • Contribute to the review, design, and implementation of P+T policies, processes, and practices, ensuring alignment with current legislation and best practice.
  • Promote continuous improvement in P+T service delivery, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Human Resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations within the relevant countries.
  • Experience in a HR role within a multi‑country or international environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Proven ability to execute HR strategies and initiatives in alignment with business objectives and with understanding of overarching business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organisational levels.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Sound judgement and problem‑solving capability, with a pragmatic and commercially aware approach.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in HR processes and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑country environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on driving results.
  • Fluent in French and English.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of Human Resources specifically related to employee relations.
  • Experience working with French works councils.
  • Knowledge of French legislation.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Able to commute to the Paris office on a blended basis.
