Homeschooling/Nanny
Warm, Intelligent Nanny / Governess - Child-Led Learning, Nature & International Travel
We are a warm, involved family seeking an exceptional nanny/governess (or manny/governor) to join us long-term in caring for our three boys, ages 5, 8 and 11.
Our approach to homeschooling is highly child-led and connection-based, with learning woven naturally through books, conversation, projects, travel, nature, art, games and everyday life. We value many principles familiar to Montessori families: respect for the child, independence, careful observation, meaningful work and following genuine interests.
We are looking for someone bright, playful, grounded and emotionally attuned who genuinely enjoys children and can support their development without making learning feel like "school." Montessori experience is welcome but not required; openness, curiosity and a respectful approach matter more than formal qualifications.
The role includes supporting reading, writing and maths; creating thoughtful projects and activities; spending significant time outdoors; encouraging independence; organizing outings and schedules; and working closely with involved parents and our existing Governor.
Exceptional English is essential. Driver's license and strong swimming ability are highly preferred.
We spend 4-5 months each year near Céret in the French Pyrenees and travel slowly internationally, including Costa Rica in winter/early spring 2027.
Approx. 40 hours/week over 5 days. Shared care. Live-in or live-out in France.
€4,000/month self-employed, plus private accommodation when live-in and all work-related travel expenses.
